THE MOUNTAIN MAN
Offered for the first time ever, an original handmade, Duck Creek Forge, buckskin coat. This fine coat is handmade from start to finish. It began with raw unfleshed Texas whitetail deer skins. It was fleshed, de-haired and tanned at Duck Creek Forge. From there it was hand cut and hand sewn into a, below the waist, jacket with 2 outer pockets and 2 inside breast pockets. The seams on the front have been meticulously beaded with glass seed beads. The buttons are 7 whitetail deer  antler tips, and there are 14 buffalo teeth on the front. Each antler tip is carved, scrimshaw style with a single arrow. Antique trade beads are applied to the fringe in various places. The bead strips are handmade by the artist and are three strand wampum strips that are each 12" long and applied over the shoulders. This is an unlined coat for versatility. With a light fleece under it, it is as warm as any heavy winter coat. Worn by itself, it is a comfortable shell to protect you from the weather.  The more you wear this coat the the better it looks. Over the years it grows softer and develops a patina that only adds to its beauty. This coat is an "XL Tall" in size (Should fit 46-50" chest with tall arm length). $2000
